[Warded to Padma & Lavender]
My date last night was completely abysmal. And he had such promise! An Auror at the Ministry; well respected by Mr. Robards. Not to mention he was extremely good looking; several years older than us and starting to go silver at the temples and he had the most beautiful blue eyes that crinkled at the corners when he smiled.
However he was dreadfully dull. All he wanted to do was talk about Quidditch and his latest case. I didn't mind the first twenty minutes, as you know I do enjoy Quidditch, and the case was very interesting to hear about outside of a formal report, but he went on and on and never asked about me. I'm not trying to sound selfish or vain, but it would have been nice if he'd at least once asked what I liked to do in my spare time, or about the latest book I read. Of course, the latest book I read was a history of Valentino, but would it have killed him to at least pretend to be interested?
Girls, do you think I'm doing something wrong? It seems lately all my dates are either interested only in themselves, or too interested in what I look like out of my clothes. As if I'm the type of girl to do that on a first date. Honestly, I'm starting to long for the days of being ignored by Harry Potter at the Yule Ball.
Mani-pedis Friday? I need some serious girl time, and I'm sure we could all do for a little pampering!
Kisses!
